May event: Cheese and Wine
On May 15th a good crowd of us descended on a members house to enjoy an evening of cheese eating and wine drinking. We had a very good turnout and it was great to see everyone relaxing and socialising. There was a very good fire keeping the place warm enough for us to undress and enjoy a naturist evening. Thanks very much to our hosts for opening up their home for us.
Polar Plunge 2010
On June 20th a bunch of us made our annual pilgrimage to Taieri Mouth to take the test of the icy South Pacific waters. This beach is such a good private and sheltered location for us and we also manage to light a bonfire there to keep away the hypothermia! Such a shame that this may be our last trip there as the threat of building house on the access paddocks looms every year. One of these years we will arrived to find a housing estate in place. Anyway, this year the weather let us down after a glorious Saturday, Sunday turned out grey and drizzly. However, 9 hardy souls did turn up and brave the waves and were then reward with hot soup or tea in front of the smoky fire.
Mid-winter pot luck
Some of us joined the Alpine Club on Jun 26th for their mid winter pot luck dinner and dance. A fun night with a warm fire, plenty of food, great costumes and even a partial lunar eclipse
