From Napier (22km) leave by either Prebensen Drive or Church Road onto Puketitiri Road. 4km before Rissington turn R onto Glengarry Road for 400m to Rapere entrance signposted on R.
From Hastings (32km) exit by Omahu Road to Fernhill. Take Swamp Road then R onto Omarunui Road, quickly turn L towards Puketapu across river then L into Dartmoor Road. Soon turn R into Apley Road then R onto Puketitiri Road to soon reach on L, Glengarry Road as above.
From Taupo: On SH5 12km after Te Pohue turn R onto Glengarry Road for 15km (partly gravel) to reach Rapere signposted on L .
From Wairoa: Turn R off SH2 at Bay View on to Hill Road through village. Soon turn L onto Seafield Road, then R onto Puketitiri Road to reach Glengarry Road as above.
