VISITING ALPINE LAKES NATURIST CLUB
The Alpine Lakes Naturist Club grounds are 10 minutes north of Cromwell at Lowburn on the main road to Wanaka.   On private farm land in a lovely sheltered secluded valley with a large camping area.   Our kitchen is set up with gas cooking and all kitchen requirements and a generator is our source of electricity.   A destructor heats the water for the ablution block and kitchen.  Our communal room has a coal range which makes it very cosy in the evenings.   In the heat of summer we dam up the small stream to cool off in.

The Club grounds make an excellent base for visitors to enjoy and explore the area as Lake Dunstan is only 5 minutes away which is very popular for all water sports and fishing, the area is known for great wines and numerous wine tasting tours are available also central Otago was a very rich gold mining area so there are numerous old stone buildings and gold mining relics to explore.   We are only 45 min. from Queenstown and Wanaka so day trips are very easy made to these tourist towns.   There are no cabins or caravans for hire so visitors must have their own motor home, caravan or tent.    As the area becomes very dry in summer all visitors must be very vigilant regarding the fire risk, so all cooking must be done in your own motor home etc or in the Club kitchen.   As the grounds are on private property visitors wishing to stay require a key and these are available from Allan  by phoning 022 603 1439
